COLOSSEUM - Sunday, November 21

Today my Dad got up to do another tour. When he got back, we went to the Colosseum. Surprisingly, the Colosseum is an oval shape and not a circle. During an earthquake, part of it crumbled away. To stop this, some people put a bunch of brick up. Now it looks like a solid wall and not arches on part of it. The Colosseum used to seat about 87,000 people but all of the marble seats were stripped away during the fall of the Roman Empire. They used the Colosseum for gladiator fights, boat fights, and executions.
