Today we saw the Bologne vs. Brescia soccer game. The stadium was huge but wasn’t very full – only about 4000 Bologne fans and about 500 Brescia fans. At the ends of the stadium were the hard core fans screaming at the referees and cheering for their team. All of the people who voted for the Bologne soccer team where right! Bologne won 1 to 0. The shot was out of nowhere and the Brescia goalie had no time to react to it. The crowd went wild; they started waving their Bologne flags and chanting the Bologne song. In the game there were 3 cards given - 2 yellows and one red. Bologne was down a player with about 15 minutes to go. There were also a lot of fouls and off-side calls. It was exciting to be at my first professional soccer game but the cigarette smoke was unbearable – I almost threw up :-(

ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. The 6 hr. layover must have been boring. Why are the toilet seats square? The cigarette smoke sounds disgusting.
